MOM Missing Angel​

This is a support group created by me, Sharon Cox-Steward for moms who have lost a child. I lost my daughter in September 2015 due to illness. I never knew grief like this and it took me through the valleys of sadness, heartache, depression and so so many tears. In 2018 I started my non profit SHATOYA’S GRACE in memory of my beloved daughter. I wanted to honor her legacy of giving to others and her mantra “What About The People”. In August 2018 SHATOYA’S Grace sponsored a back to school clothing giveaway and blessed over 300 kids. In December 2018 SHATOYA’S Grace sponsored their first MOM-M.A. Day event to honor mothers who have lost a child. 18 brave women showed up to honor their children. It was an emotionally good time. The responses from this event helped me to recognize the need for ongoing support and a safe non-judgmental place to freely grieve as a MOM.

This support group began meeting on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at The Lutheran Church of the Covenant, 19000 Libby Road, Maple Heights,Oh 44137.   Meetings are held monthly. 

Any mom who has lost a child due to stillborn, miscarriage, accident, drug overdose, suicide, act of violence or illness may join. Please share with other moms. I fully understand that there is no timeline on grief, some may not be ready right now,  but let’s continue to encourage and pray for those who have experienced the same loss.
